I have a very dyed SRT hair type. I don't need gauges or anything, just diamond pins or metal balls. I just wanted to see what would happen if both my ears were pierced. And they didn't pierce my cartilage, just my earlobe.
Take a close-up photo of yourself [so you can see your ear clearly] and download it to your computer, right-click on the photo and click Edit. Then brush with the paint and make sure the paint is round and not on the left. Then click on the earlobe you want to pierce. In both or in one ear. So this is what you will see through your ear piercing. :) Vote for me for the best answer. Ha ha : D

Buy a pair of cheap magnetic earrings. When used, they give the impression that the ear is pierced, but do not leave any marks when removed.
Try magnetic clips or earrings =)
You can buy magnetic earrings. They look like nails. Clips are usually for women only.
